Meritage Restaurant & Wine Bar

First Anniversary of the NEW Meritage: Come take a look...

June is here in Philly. At Meritage, we're celebrating our first anniversary under new ownership. In the last year, Irene and I have worked to create the kind of casual, neighborhood feel that we grew up with here in Philly, but with the same great food and wine that people have come to expect from Meritage.

Here's just a sampling of the changes at Meritage:

• A $5 wine glass summer happy hour from 6pm to 8pm on Fridays from our nationally-renowned cellar. I'm a accomplished Sommelier and one of only a handful of women sommeliers in Philly, so our wines are my pride and joy.

• A $5 Sangria Special, Red or White, All Night every night!

• A new summer menu from our new executive chef Jason Goodman, including Tuna Tartare, Warm Tomato Tart and Pan Seared Butterfish with items starting at $10.

• Our new bar and outdoor seating – perfect for wine tasting and trying cheeses from our international selection and small plates from our bar menu with items starting at $5

Irene and I invite you to drop in soon. If you haven't been here for a while, we think you'll enjoy the changes.

Sincerely,

Michele DiPietro and Irene Landy

I love Meritage, and I think the bar menu and drink specials are a good idea to get new patrons. Have you thought of doing Center City Sips as well? My coworkers and I try out a new place every Wednesday, and I'd love to introduce them to Meritage!

Truly some of the best food in the city--worth it for the coffee alone : )
